Last weekend, we joined the party at Duthie Mountain Bike Park, where over 2000 riders gathered for Evergreen Mountain Bike Alliance‘s 5th Annual Festival. Team 529 not only cranked on the trails and in races, but also cranked out over a hundred free bike registrations.
Many festival participants we talked to had a heart-breaking story about a stolen bike, and throughout the day, chants of “bike thieves suck” drifted over the crowd toward us in a spirit of solidarity. It’s support like that which keeps us fired up to get more boots on the ground, building our bike-thief butt kicking posse, one rider at a time.
